LOTUS L. BECKWITH

 

OBITUARY: Lotus Lee (Todd) Beckwith, lifelong Lincoln resident, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, June 25th. Lotus was born in Lincoln on February 25th, 1927 to Lee and Bertha Todd. She grew up in Lincoln. Lotus loved to dance. She taught dance as a teenager and performed on the stage of the Stuart Theater. She was recruited by a national dance troupe and by the USO, but her parents were reluctant to grant her permission to travel at such a young age. She lived in California for a short period of time before returning to Lincoln where she met and married Lloyd (Bill) Beckwith in 1950. She worked for many years at Banker’s Life before adopting the first of three daughters.
VISITATION: No visitation.
SERVICE: The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
FAMILY: Lotus is survived by her daughters, Toni and Dennis Christensen, Lincoln; Becky and Steve Noecker, Story, WY; Lori and Edward Jackson, Broken Bow; Lincoln; grandsons Jermaine Brown (Denver), Casey Christensen (Lincoln), Aaron Neyhart (Winner, SD), Tanner and Isaac Jackson (Broken Bow). Preceded in death by: husband, Lloyd (Bill) Beckwith and parents Lee and Bertha Todd.
CEMETERY: Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery.
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be directed to the American Arthritis Association.
