Dear Mike and Sally,

We are deeply saddened by the loss of your mother and send you heartfelt wishes that you may find peace as you honor and cherish her. She was a very special and talented lady.

Mildred, was a very good neighbor to my mother, Doris Kleppinger, when they lived just across the street in Lincoln for many years. They talked on the sidewalk almost every day and shared stories about their business endeavors and families including their two sons (both Mikes). They had their Chevy Malibus in common which were a point of conversation. Very importantly, they watched out for each other on a regular basis.

Through the years, I also enjoyed saying hello to Mildred when I visited Nebraska from my home in Washington, DC.

After moving my mom to Hastings for assisted living, she missed your mother and often talked about their good times together. My mom passed away last October, 2015.

On behalf of my family, you remain in our thoughts with deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,

Lu Kleppinger, Vienna, VA

I thought having Mildred as a sister-in-law was the greatest thing that could happen (since I only had brothers). I am sure that when I was young I drove her crazy, always trying to be around her. Mildred was always a great and I was fortunate to have her as a member of our family. Mildred will be fondly remembered. Thoughts and prayers are with Mike and his family this day in the future.

We will be unable to attend the service because of health problems but will keep you in our thoughts!

Mildred’s father and my mother were related, just how I don’t know, but Ido remember as a small child stopping at the bakery to see them.

As I grew older I got to know Mildred, Wes & Ed on a personal basis.

Mildred was a great lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her when we would see each other. She will be missed by many!

With Love
Norris and Charleen Frankforter

I always loved it when she would stop by work to chat. I’d always send her off with a big hug. I will miss her and her smile. Sending lots of love, hugs, and prayers.
