Gary Lee Simanek, 77, passed away on May 7, 2025, in Lincoln, NE. He was born November 2, 1947, to Ernest and Geraldine Simanek.
Gary is survived by his children, Adam (Melissa) Simanek, Amanda (Mark) Gakle, and Ashleigh Burnett; grandchild, Tyren Burnett; stepchildren, Paul (Leslie) Robinson, Ward (Cari) Robinson, and Lynn (Kevin Widhalm) Robinson; and step-grandchildren, Chloe, Elena, Rudy, Ryker, Reece, and Ryder.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Penny Simanek.
A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 “O” Street, Lincoln, NE. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Lincoln.
Memorials may be donated to the family for future designation.
Gary and Penny were a fun living great couple to be around. You are now back together like you wanted.
