Larry Wayne Kubick, age 73, Lincoln, Neb. Born November 25, 1942 in Cambridge, Nebraska. Died peacefully in his sleep July 6, 2016. Retired after a long and distinguished career as a bank loan recovery officer, Larry also served his country honorably in the Nebraska Air National Guard, ultimately achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Son of the late Harold and Dorothy Kubick, Larry was a resident of Lincoln since 1984. Graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School, Class of 1961. Also attended the University of Nebraska. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dan of Omaha.
Survivors: Two sons, Thomas, of Lawrence, Kansas and wife Jessica; Nicholas of Richmond, Virginia and wife Maria. Also survived by two grandchildren: Connor Nicholas (son of Nicholas) and Samantha Mary (daughter of Thomas). Also survived by two brothers, Bruce and Mark, both of Lincoln. Also nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 14th at Wyuka Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

All the times playing pool and ping pong and bowling and mini golf. Driving through all the Kings and dairy queens,having a short lunch hour and making a burger run to the first McDonalds on O street and JUST making it back to class.
Marching and playing in Band and orchestra. Working together,going to Races at the speedway. A life well lived old pardner, you are and will be missed by many.

Dear Bruce and Mark, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. My condolences to you and your families.
Larry and I worked together for many years at HFC in California. We spent many a Sunday at my house watching his Oakland Raiders. Haven’t spoken for a few years and after watching the Raiders this past Sunday thought it was time. Very sorry to hear. He was good people and very proud of his two boys.
