The Role
The Cemetery Operations & Sales Coordinator ensures cemetery orders move swiftly and accurately from intake to completion. You’ll process and track small replacement orders and basic bronze plates (mausoleums/columbaria), manage burial and monument/vase work orders, coordinate with vendors and grounds, and support the sales team behind the scenes—so families experience timely, seamless service.
What You’ll Do
- Order Processing & Tracking
- Prepare and fulfill small replacement orders and basic bronze plates for mausoleums and columbaria.
- Enter, track, and update all cemetery-side orders (burials, vases, markers/monuments) from approval to installation.
- Maintain a real-time order log and provide weekly status reports to management and sales.
- Coordinate proofs/approvals, delivery dates, and installation timelines with vendors.
- Administrative & Records
- Generate work orders and interment paperwork; maintain accurate digital records and archives.
- Update cemetery management software; ensure data integrity and version control.
- Schedule installations with grounds and align timing with funeral/service calendars.
- Sales Support & Customer Care
- Prepare sales packets, contracts, and order forms for Cemetery Sales Counselors.
- Handle behind-the-scenes follow-ups (proofs, inscriptions, corrections, deliveries).
- Professionally respond to internal/external inquiries on order status and timelines.
- Team Collaboration
- Participate in daily/weekly coordination huddles with Sales and Grounds.
- Support special projects, events, or other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years in administrative coordination, order management, or sales support; cemetery/monument experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through; comfort managing many moving parts.
- Clear written/verbal communication; compassionate, service-oriented demeanor.
- Proficiency with office software and database/CRM tools; cemetery software experience preferred.
- Ability to occasionally walk outdoor grounds and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory background check.
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time, primarily weekday schedule with occasional flexibility for operational needs.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate depending on experience, plus benefits.
