Christian David Moreno

November 15, 1974 – January 8, 2026

Christian David Moreno, 51, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in Lincoln, NE. He was born November 15, 1974, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to David Miguel Moreno and Priscella Ann Livingston.

Christian was a kindhearted person who cared deeply for others, yet he struggled in this world with PTSD which complicated his life and often kept him from enjoying the things that mattered most to him. Despite this, Christian was a joy to be around. He was a very eclectic person with many interests in life so he rarely met a person that he couldn’t strike up a conversation with. He was very likeable.

Christian’s proudest accomplishment in this life was his children whom he loved with all his heart, being a helpful son to his mother, a loving brother to his sisters, and a fun uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was very proud of the years that he worked for TENNECO manufacturing during which he was part of their leadership team. He was also proud of being a veteran, being Mexican American and all things Florida…the Gators, Jaguars, the beach, the fact that his mom was born there, all her extended family resides there, that his own children were born and reside there, and he was stationed there while he was in the Navy.

He was a disabled veteran who although he had been involved in various clubs in the past, at the time of his passing, he was not. Christian held a strong faith in Jesus Christ as his personal savior; however, he did not attend a local congregation.

He had many hobbies and things he enjoyed in this life, but his favorite thing was animals. He often said that he should have been a zoologist. He left behind his beloved dog, Greyson, a 3-year-old female Aussiedoodle. He also loved watching sports, playing pool, surf fishing, golfing, repairing things and doing woodwork, playing board games, watching movies and listening to all kinds of music but his favorite was Mexican ranchero music.

Christian always ended every conversation he had with his family with the words “I love you!” We love you too Christian!

Christian is survived by his mother, Priscella Livingston; children, Taylor Berubee, Christian B. Moreno, and Tyler Moreno; sisters, Robin Moreno and Mollie Hopper; brothers-in-law, Jerry Fry and Anthony Hopper; grandson, Archie Berubee; nieces and nephews, Yuri Garcia, Alejandro Guerra, Emilia Martinez, Mercedez Schmidt, Makenzy Schmidt, Sofia Moreno-Fry, Sebastian Moreno-Fry, Anthony Hopper II and Lythia Hopper; grandmother, Mary Fraser; aunts, Rosie Moreno, Lucy Moreno, Sharon Griffith and Marcheta Crews; uncles, Joe Moreno, Grover (Lavan) Williams and Gordon Crews, and numerous other great aunts and uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, David M. Moreno; grandparents, Charles W. Livingston, Sofia Moreno, David Moreno, and Gerald Williams; aunt, Brenda Sackbille; uncle, Gerald William Jr., Charles (Billy) Livingston; and numerous other family members not mentioned but loved and not forgotten.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM, at Wyuka Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68510. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the family in the name of Mollie Hopper.

  1. Our son lives in the same apartment house as Christian. I will miss Christian around the apartment house. His kindness and his sense of community has made a neighborhood within the house. He was so soft spoken and gentle. We will miss him and sweet Grayson! They were a wonderful pair.
