I remember her talking about your group lunchtime walks. She stayed healthy and active for a number of years here in AZ before suffering a stroke in 2002 which seemed to be the onset of her dementia. Still, she always wanted to be independent and not rely on me or anyone else for her needs. We were blessed to have her living right behind us for the last 5 years. Thank you for your condolences. I enjoyed your mother’s friendship when we both worked at DPI. She was the one who encouraged a group of us to walk in the tunnels during the noon hour. She set the pace of our almost daily trips. She was a great person to have as a friend.
