Keith Anderson was born on the Rosebud Reservation, near Clearfield, South Dakota, on December 12, 1938. Throughout his life, he was a master plumber, racecar driver. He loved to work on old cars, watched NASCAR, and when he was younger, he was a cowboy. He was a 32nd Degree Mason (Scottish Rite), and a 60+ year member of the Moose Lodge. He married Rita Parkinson on December 17, 1966, and lived in Wisconsin until December 12, 1988, when he picked up his family and moved back to Nebraska. He died peacefully in Beatrice, Nebraska, on August 30, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita (Parkinson); daughter, Brenda (Mike) Bestwick; three step-grandchildren; one great-step-grandchild; sister, Pauline (Anderson) Wells; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in the death by his parents, Merrill and Helen (King) Anderson; brothers, Percy (Ilene) Anderson, Merlin “Buddy” (Florence) Anderson; and brother-in-law, Robert Wells.
Graveside service will be held privately. Memorials to the family for further designation.
