I have 2 favorite memories of Marilyn.
First, she kindly let our grandkids use her yard as a shortcut to Lux Middle School when they stayed here in our home. They would cut through her yard and hop the fence which came in handy on cold winter days and rainy days!
Also, Marilyn loved to keep an eye out for wildlife in the neighborhood. She would call me and say I don’t have time to talk, but you’ve got a fox in your yard. Check it out!
It was a pleasure to have known this fine lady.

She was always creating for us – dance, unusual treats and once she brought all of her leftover merchandise from the Nutshell for us all to take something. I enjoyed being around her and she was very gracious and loving. She lived a great life.

I never got down there to see you again after Uncle George died, and I certainly meant to get to Lincoln one more time. You lived an incredible life… and finding out so much more here! My sister Pam was remembering the Nutshell yesterday. At least we kept in touch at Christmas. Can’t believe you made it all this way without moving out of your beloved home. Love you, say hi to everyone up with you in Heaven!
