My grandfather was Glenn Gordon, worked at Arnold’s and Uniservice, and my Grandma Joyce’s sister was Jean Carlton, wife of Mo at Carlton Shoe Store. I also live in Havelock now. Bob was always very helpful to me, gave me great ideas and advice, and also enjoyed hearing all of my house renovation stories. He was so happy for me when he saw that I won the furnace on TV. Sometimes I would come in for several small items like a couple of screws or other fasteners, he would look at me funny and tell me to just take them and leave. No one else did this for me. I am very grateful and happy to know that you also had a “Gramps” in your lives. Best Wishes to you and your Family.

He made such an impact on my life. My mom would always take me to the hardware store with her to see Gramps, and now the hardware store will never be the same.

Hello,
Thanks you for your kind words. It won’t be the same without my Dad “Gramps”:( So glad you both got to meet him. Maybe see you on the lake sometime this summer?

He touched so many people’s lives at the hardware store and his personal interactions with his customers will be greatly missed. Truly one of a kind. RIP Bob.

I’ve know Bob for long time when he had business with Beltone Hearing Center when both him & his wife & Dave work there. Then went over to hardware store in Havelock & see them off & on. He is one of the nicest guy that anyone ever want to meet. But sure will miss him very much & almost like a part of family.
