Freddie Berry Sr. was born on April 16, 1947, in Clarkedale, to James Berry and Lucille Berry. He was one of fourteen children born to this union.
Freddie graduated from Dunbar High School in 1966. Following graduation, he attended Job Corps before returning home to Earle, Arkansas.
Freddie dedicated many years of faithful service to Burlington Railroad, where he worked until his retirement in 2009. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Aging Partners, where he continued serving and supporting others with care and dedication.
From a previous union, Freddie was blessed with six children: Juanita, Winnie, Freddie Berry Jr. (Kamilah), Lucille, Arlanders Berry Sr. (Jimika), and Melissia. He was also the proud father of Patricia.
Freddie leaves to cherish his memory his children; grandchildren Mischonda, Sassiel, Arthur, Michael, Daniel, Danielle, Arlanders Jr., Jameshia, Jacob, Vivian, Daisha, Damion, Davion, Jamontae, Valerie, Crisondra, Tubois, Bre’Ona, Lallery, and Hillary; two brothers, Arthur and John; sister-in-law Dorothy Jean; and his beloved wife of 23 years, Adeline. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever love and treasure his memory.
Service will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 “O” Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, on May 30, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Fred was a joy to work with! He cared so much about the seniors at the aging center. He was dedicated and thoughtful. He was just plain likeable! My condolences go out to his wife Adeline and entire family. We were so shocked to hear of his passing. Til we see you again in heaven, Freddie!

Freddie was the most kind spirited person, I feel blessed that God allowed are paths to cross. When Freddie wasn’t Driving the Senior Bus, you could find him helping at the senior center. I also went and spoke with him on Occassion at the Northeast Senior Center and He would be in the other room reading his book very seldom did he not have a book in his hand. When I received the call he had passed my heart was heavy. We Drove together several years Freddie really cared about the people he drove for. so I will celebrate all the good times we had together as coworker’s and cherish the memories. Freddie made a positive impact in my life. As a true friend and I will be forever grateful. Rest in peace until we meet again.. Red
Freddie was one amazing person I feel blessed to have ever got to meet him and drive with him after I left aging partners on a couple occasions I went back and visited with him, and if he wasn’t helping at the senior center, he was in the back reading his book, you could always catch Freddie with a good book. My heart was heavy when I heard the news, but I turned it around and wanted to celebrate him because he was such a wonderful soul. Rest in peace Freddie until we meet again
