Barbara Eastin, age 92, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Woburn Massachusetts. She was born on April 11, 1934, in Los Angeles California, and spent much of her life in Lincoln and Ceresco, Nebraska, where she built a life centered around family, community, and caring for others.

Barbara dedicated the early part of her career to caring for others as a registered nurse. Later, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, becoming a steady and loving presence in the lives of those she cared for. In addition to raising her own children, Barbara raised her oldest three grandchildren, taking on a role that went far beyond that of a grandmother. She was their caregiver, protector, guiding force, and mother figure, providing them with the love, stability, and support that shaped their lives. In her free time she enjoyed bowling on leagues and playing bridge with friends. 

Barbara’s life was defined by compassion, selflessness, and unwavering love for her family. She found her greatest joy in caring for the people she loved and was a source of comfort, wisdom, and strength to generations of her family. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, generosity, and a love that was expressed through the countless ways she showed up for her family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Josephine Clark; Ex-husband, Jerry Eastin; her son, Jeffrey Eastin; and her daughter, Jodi Eastin.

She is lovingly survived by her sister, Connie McCracken; her daughters, Jana Sesow (Clint) and Jill Cobb (Jeremy); her cherished grandchildren, Tawni Eastin, Aaron Eastin (Katie), Justin Eastin, Alana Sesow, Tatum Sesow, Jason Cobb, and Jordan Cobb; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Alissah Cunningham and Dakotah Cunningham. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Barbara’s warmth, gentle spirit, and devotion to her family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, wisdom, and caring heart will continue to live on through the generations she cherished.

A funeral service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 O St, Lincoln, NE. Following the service, Barbara will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, 8400 Adams St, in Lincoln, NE. Family and friends are invited to gather together to remember and celebrate a life devoted to family, love, and caring for others.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
