Nikki, Eric and Libby,
We were so sad to hear of Rex’s passing. He was always such a good friend to us and concerned about everything that was happening in our lives. I will certainly miss the many conversations that we had at the Irving Breakfasts. He will certainly be missed by all that knew him and for all of the time he willing gave to many volunteer organizations. May you have comfort knowing what a legacy he left behind and the many wonderful deeds that he performed to help others.
Dear Nikki – please accept my heartfelt sympathy at this sad time – with love and prayers, sincerely – Betty
It was a terrible shock when I read in the St. Paul United Methodist Church bulletin this morning that Rex had died. We were very close growing up. We both attended District #107 on West “O” and University High School for 13 years of our lives, graduating in 1965. As boys we were both involved in scouting, meeting in what use to be called “Huskerville” N.W. of Lincoln. John and Melba were friends of my parents, Floyd and Vivian Flader. We lived two miles north of District #107.
Is there a way I can contact Rick? I would like to send him a personal word of condolence. Please share this message with him.
Again, I am truly sorry for your loss. May God bless you in the days and weeks to come.
Rev. Steve Flader, Class of 1961, District #107, Class of 1965, University High School
