Aron Scott Elder

Aron S. Elder, 36, of Lincoln passed away on November 11th at St. Jane De Chantal.

Aron was born March 5, 1983 in Lincoln to Kim & Francie Elder. He graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 2004.

Aron struggled most of his life with disabilities and he survived several life-threatening illnesses, but when times got tough for him, he would often say “I do good”. Beyond the ordinary, Aron’s life was a special gift and his suffering serves as a reminder for humanity that each day is fragile and precious.

As a resident of St. Jane De Chantal he was popular with many of the residents & nursing staff. Special thanks to Asa, Robin, Peggy, Holly, Marie and other caregivers who enlightened his life. Those who knew Aron loved him – – and he returned their love.

Survivors include his parents; sisters, Mandy (Dale) Hoppe, Katie (Ryan) Buck. Nephews Colton & Zac Hoppe and niece Amelia Elder

Aron was preceded in death by grandparents Earl & Dolores Elgert and Eugene & Betty Elder.

Funeral services for Aron will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2019, at Wyuka Funeral Home, Lincoln. Viewing one hour prior to service. Memorials may be given to the Epilepsy Foundation of Nebraska or to Best Buddies International. Condolences at wyuka.com.

My thoughts and prayers to you and you’re family. I am so sorry for your loss. Aron has and always will have a special place in my heart. I loved him so much and will miss him dearly. His laugh and hugs and kisses and even throwing his toys at me to get my attention are memories that will last forever. He was an amazing person. Heaven gained another angel. R.I.P. • Peggy – Sorry if you have received several responses, I am not tech savvy at all. Thank you so much for your love for Aron. He loved you so much also. I will always remember you giving him his “drink” at night. It was so cute! That adorable face he would make scrunching his face. I am at a loss Peggy. I miss him very, very much. I talk to him every day. His face at the time of his death was angelic and content. So, I believe he is now an angel in God’s army of angels. Thank you for making his life fuller for being his friend. I will never forget you for being there for him. The flowers are gorgeous, but I will be sending a separate thank you for those. Peace, love, your friends Francie and “I DO GOOD” Aron.

  2. My sweet cousin Aron. He was such a strong fella. He fought back hard at everything life threw his way.

He will go to heaven and always be remembered by me as an angel.

We enjoyed taking our Irish Wolfhounds to visit him.

Rest in Peace Sweet Angel Aron.

    • Hi Diona – Not being tech savvy and grieving does not go together. I keep messing up. Thank you for visiting Aron with your wonderful dogs, and for Scott visiting too. Your efforts were extraordinary and Aron and I were appreciative of your kindness. I’m sorry about the pics not getting in the video – I should have had the girls handle it. But I was and still am grieving quite a bit. Just not thinking right. I will call one of these days and we discuss many things. Love you. Francie

  8. Francie and Family, I was sorry to see Aron’s Obituary. I worked with your family when Aaron was very young and first moved out of the home and into services. I remember riding in the car with Francie and Aron to an appt in Omaha and Aron showered us with french fries. We laughed and laughed. I loved seeing this picture of him and seeing the handsome man he grew to be. I know the road wasn’t easy for you or Aron but he was sure loved.
