Brenda M. Davis

Brenda (Smith) Davis passed away peacefully February 11th surrounded by her family.  She courageously fought Polio from childhood and was a 3-time cancer survivor.  Brenda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She worked as a clinical Lab technician for over 40 years including 15 years at the Lincoln VA. She also worked with her husband as a realtor. 

She is survived by her husband John Davis of Lincoln, sons and daughter in laws Rick and Heidi Davis of Lincoln and Steven and Chandra Davis of Beatrice. 9 beloved grandchildren, Cameron Davis(Starlin), Dylon Davis(Elizabeth), Zander Davis, Alex Miller, Brandon Miller, Ruth Miller, Suzanne Miller, Blake Davis, Becket Davis. 2 great grandchildren Nolan Davis and Hudson Davis.

 Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca (Davis) Miller, sisters Maxine Smith, Joann Lagergren, Linda Erikson and brothers Jimmy Smith and Lavaughn Smith.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on February 16, 2021 at Southwood Lutheran Church, 4301 Wilderness Hills Blvd. Lincoln. The service will be livestreamed, you can watch it HERE.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2021 from Noon until 7:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 O Street, Lincoln.

Interment Wyuka Cemetery. 

Memorials to be given to Southwood Lutheran Church.

  2. I am so sorry, Brenda and I grew up together and thru the years we kept in constant contact I talked to her about 3 weeks ago. My deepest sympathy to John and her family.

  7. Brenda was a survivor in every sense of the word, but she always had a positive attitude no matter what was put in front of her.
    She was my first real friend as my cousin. I will truly miss her but she will stay in my heart forever.
    I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to everyone of them.

  9. Very nice service for Brenda. A lot of the songs were songs we sung together in church growing up. We were friends since we began grammar school together . You are in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of such a wonderful person. She was my best friend.
