Connie Lee Fleming

Connie Lee Fleming of Lincoln, died July 31, 2014.  She was born August 12, 1931 in Abilene, Kansas.  On June 6, 1957 she was united in marriage to Richard Fleming.  Connie was an avid bridge player and belonged to many bridge clubs, including the University of Nebraska Women’s Faculty Club and served as chair of the bridge group, Lincoln duplicate bridge club and pick-up bridge games at Prairie Life Fitness Center.  She was involved in education at various levels.  She served as a secretary at Abilene High School, Nebraska Wesleyan University and assisted students at UNL registration.

Connie is survived by her husband, Richard of Lincoln; Son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Becky Fleming of Eagle, Nebraska; Daughter, Julie Chieffo of Lincoln.  Grandsons and spouse, Ryan and Holli Fleming of Punta Gorda, Florida, Josh Fleming of Woodbury, Minnesota and Michael Chieffo of Lincoln.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Merle Berger.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 4th at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 O Street, Lincoln.

    She was a very gracious lady and it was a pleasure to have her as a member of our
    club and she will be missed at the bridge table.
