David M. Musiel

Musiel, David M.David M. Musiel, age 69 of Lincoln, died suddenly on Fri. July 17, 2015 by an accident at the Auto Gallery and Firth Storage in Firth, Nebraska.  Born Jan. 13, 1946 to Edward and Della (Dawson) Musiel in North Bend, NE.  After graduating from Prague High School, Dave served in the US Army in 1965; owned an insurance business, making a career in the insurance industry; loved working on old cars; rock and roll music; and talking to anyone and everyone he met. He was wed to Beverly Kreifels in 1982.  Dave was a Shriner and a Legionaire, living most of his life in the Lincoln area.

He is survived by his loving wife Beverly; sons, Jason and Adam Musiel; daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Pieper and Samantha Musiel; step daughter, Sarah (Jason) Chagnon; brother, Bud Musiel;  seven grandchildren;and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Hays and Joan Musiel.

Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thurs. July 23, 2015 at Wyuka Funeral Home Chapel, 3600 “O” Street, Lincoln.  Interment of Ashes will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paul, NE. Memorials to the Family or Union Bank for his Memorial Fund for later designation in Dave’s honor.

  4. Our son jeff dewey introduced my husband to dave. He came to our house in norfolk and had a great time talking. Roger kept saying dave is a super guy. He treated our son so well. He so impressed our son and us. He was a great guy with curly hair and great personality. He will be so missed.

    You have our deepest sympathy.
    I wish we had known Dave better. I interviewed him for the VOICE a few years back when he had the car show in Firth.

  7. I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was a good man. He made many contributions to the community. He was a good friend, and a dedicated father. I will never forget the many ways he helped me when I was struggling as a single parent. You are all in my prayers.

  10. Condolences to the Dave Musiel family. We had a moment of silence at 10:00 a.m. today at the Nebraska Auto Auction before the sale began. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

  11. Our deepest sympathy to your family. Dave would stop at our house quite often when he came thru Prague to catch up on the news. He and I used to run around in our early days and would laugh about those memories whenever he stopped. Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
