Today, we gather to celebrate the life of a woman whose kindness and generosity knew no bounds—Debra K. Shelden. Debbie wasn’t just a mother to her own children; she was a mother to many. Her door was always open, offering shelter, warmth, and a hot meal to anyone in need. She believed everyone deserved kindness, comfort, and a full plate—and she lived that belief every single day.
Debbie was a woman of many passions. She relished the challenge of crossword puzzles and enjoyed puzzles of all kinds. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially in savoring Cliff’s lasagna, a meal that brought her comfort and happiness. Her vibrant spirit wasn’t just a part of her personality—it was visible in her ever-changing, rainbow-colored hair, with a special love for purple. Bold and wild at heart, Debbie shone brightly in everything she did.
She loved her family with every fiber of her being. Her husband, Cliff, was her rock and constant companion. Her children—Fantasia and Rebecca—were her pride and joy, as were her beloved sister April and her eleven grandchildren, who lit up her world. Among them, Debbie shared a particularly deep and special bond with Fantasia—a connection rooted in unspoken understanding, unwavering support, and unconditional love.
Debbie also had a flair for entertainment. She never missed a WWE SmackDown match, passionately cheering on her favorite wrestler, Roman Reigns. She proudly collected every Fast & Furious movie, drawn to the excitement and thrill of the action-packed series.
Her love for wolves and unicorns spoke volumes about her spirit. Wolves, with their fierce loyalty and protective nature, reflected her devotion to family. Unicorns—symbols of wonder, magic, and possibility—mirrored the joy and light she brought into the lives of others.
Above all, Debbie was unstoppable. No obstacle could hold her back. Life’s challenges didn’t discourage her—they ignited her strength. Through every hardship, she met adversity head-on, driven by love, passion, and an unshakable will. Time and again, she proved that nothing could stand between her and the life she was determined to build.
Though she has left this world, Debbie’s legacy remains. Her open heart, her colorful presence, and her boundless compassion will never be forgotten. She taught us that even the smallest acts of warmth could change a life—and that lesson will live on in all who knew her.
Rest easy, Debbie. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed.
Debbie thank you for being you. You have been a wonderful neighbor and friend. Thank you for providing love and shelter to Joel and Sarah. Much love to Cliff and Fantasia and the rest of your family! Rest in peace beautiful lady!
