Galin Prai, age 94, passed away on October 28, 2021. Visitation with family receiving friends will be held from 5-8 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 2. A private family service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.wyuka.com. Memorials suggested to ALS Association Mid-America Chapter at ALS.org.

Galin was born in Brainard, Nebraska to Sophia and Joseph Prai on October 7, 1927. He graduated from Brainard High School in 1945. Galin joined the army in 1946 and was honorably discharged. He was employed by NBC Bank for 52 years. Galin loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports over the years and was an avid Cornhusker fan.

He is preceded in death by his wife Velda; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Dorothy Prai, sister and brother-in-law Naydeine and Arnold Lind.

Galin is survived by his sister Laurine (Dwight) Erickson; children Pam (Bruce) Bartlett, Connie (Gale) Willadsen, Joe (Sheryl) Prai, Jim (Jill) Prai, Tom Prai (partner Judy Woodhead), and Bob (Mary) Prai; grandchildren Brad Willadsen, Katie Hockey, Linsey Bess, Alyssa Lamar, Mitch Prai, Bristol Evasco, as well as Taylor, Avery, Kayla, and Emily Prai; ten great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

  1. I want to offer my thoughts and prayers for everyone during this difficult time. I remember your father and grandfather as a kind friendly man. I always enjoyed talking with him. I am so sorry for your loss.

  2. Sorry for your loss, I been a friend of Tom Prai for 20 years. He talk about his dad Galin all the time. I Met Galin, talk to him at your family gatherings he is a nice, caring man. He will be missed by his children, grandchildren.

  3. My sympathy and prayers to the Prai family. Galin and I were co-workers for NBC and CSI close to 20 years. Galin was always willing to help with any questions I had working in the customer service area.
