George V. Kolodziejski

George V. Kolodziejski, age 63 of Pleasant Dale, passed away December 2, 2012.  He was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church.  George joined the U.S. Army in 1969 and was involved in the Vietnam War, during which he received the Bronze Star for bravery and the Army Acheivement Medal. 

Survivors include his wife Charlene of Pleasant Dale; Son and daughter-in-law: Matthew and Emily Kolodziejski, and their children Mackenzie and Jacobey of Canton, Illinois.  Son: Thomas John Kolodziejski and daughter Katarina Mae Kolodziejski both at home in Pleasant Dale.  Sister and Brother-in-law: Patricia Ricci Mika and John Mika of Downers Grove, Illinois.  Brothers-in-law and spouses: James and Nancy Portsche of Lincoln; Stan and Karen Portsche of Scottsdale, Arizona.  Many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents and 2 infant sons, Alexander George Kolodziejski and Andrew James Kolodziejski.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Ln.  Lincoln.  Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 A.M. at Wyuka Cemetery following the memorial service.

  2. So sorry to hear of Mr Kolodziejski’s death. I wanted to try to share something to bring the family some comfort. A scripture that has helped me is Revelation 21:4 where God promises to “wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more ” I hope it brings you comfort as it has me.
