  1. Our family has been fortunate to count Helen as a friend for the last eight years. She welcomed us to Lincoln as we brought our oldest daughter to UNL and offered her wisdom as a mother and a teacher. Now we have two daughters who call Lincoln home and one who has followed in Helen’s footsteps as an LPS teacher. Our deepest condolences to my dear friend Harriet, your mother will be greatly missed.

  2. Helen was a wonderful neighbor and I was happy I got to know her. It was always a delight to share our monthly lunches with her. She will be missed, but is now at peace. Our sympathy to your family.

  3. I worked with Helen as a school librarian for Lincoln Public Schools. She had, in her quiet way, a subtle sense of humor that I always appreciated. She also had an administrative degree that wasn’t common among school librarians and she was encouraged to apply for positions as they came available and that we often discussed with each other. Sometimes we would both attend lunches for the retired school librarians and I always enjoyed talking to Helen

I extend my condolences to Helen’s family.
