James B. Jackson

JacksonJames Byron Jackson age 67 of Lincoln, passed away November 29, 2015.  He was born August 31, 1948 in Valentine, Nebraska to Byron and Viola (Wondercheck) Jackson.  Jim was a 1968 graduate of Gordon High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969 and served until 1970.  He was a 35 year employee of the BNSF Railroad, working as a signalman.  Jim was very artistic and loved to find antiques and give new life to them.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Larry Clymer of Lincoln; brother, Bill Jackson of Lincoln.  Nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Betty Marianne and Donna.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Interment with military honors will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 3rd from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.

  2. I worked with Jim at BNSF. He was my mentor and taught me many things. He will be missed.
