James D. Peniska

James D. Peniska age 81 of Lincoln, passed away November 17, 2020.  He was born April 25, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Andrew Sr. and Janet Peniska.  James was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.  He was a Boilermaker for Nebraska Boiler/Clever Brooks for 33 years.

Survivors include his wife Marsha of Lincoln, daughter Kristin and a son Jamie.  Grandkids and great grandkids.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Andrew Jr., sister and brother-in-law Wyonna and John Tate.

  1. Sorry to hear of my cousin Jimmy’s passing. Now he has joined his brother Sonny and mom and dad. He was a model for a successful man and Native American. He worked and had a good job and retired well. He and his wife Marsha lived his last many years in their wonderful house that Jimmy customized to perfection. With his hard work and healthy investment in his 401K he retired financially independent which always impressed me, and as his Native American relative, I have been able to do the same. May he find peace in the “land beyond” and my sons Shad and Preston will burn sage today to honor his life and family.

  2. Marsha, we are so sorry to hear of James passing. Jerry has been talking about him all day. Know there is no words that can really help, but please just know we are here if you need to talk or need something.
