James S. Hope

James (Jim) Stewart Hope age 59 of Lincoln, passed away May 7, 2021.  He was born November 18, 1961 in Tonawanda, New York to Nancy J. (Newman) Hope and William P. Hope, Jr.  Jim owned and operated Bud’s Beverage in NW Lincoln for more than twenty years.  Jim had a number of hobbies and interests, but nothing compared to the love of his wife Teresa.  Before, her death in 2016, and in the previous thirty-five years there were few times the two of them were apart.  They are now at peace and reunited in each other’s arms now and forever.

He is survived by his parents Nancy and William Hope, Jr. of Spokane, WA; sister Cindy (Bob) Nix of Renton, WA; brother William (Julie) Hope, III of Spokane, WA; mother-in-law Bette Jo Linville; sisters-in-law Joanie Linville-Gates; Jodie Bartek; brothers-in-law; Herb, Jr. (Chris) Linville: Danny (Lisa) Linville all of Lincoln, NE.  Jim had many close friends and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim was preceded in death by his father-in-law Herbert Linville, Sr. and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family will host a casual memorial (reception) on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home, Garden Room.  Bring your best Jim memory to share.

A private interment will be held later this summer in Wyuka Cemetery.

I knew Tearsa more than Jim but I know they were so in love they had a great relationship ❤ they were both great people and I feel Jim was lost without her she was the love of his life I believe and he was love of her life.So together they reunite together and forever . Very special couple . Love them both may they be reunited .❤

  4. We were saddened to hear about the loss of Jim, so many fond memories from way back in junior high and high school. Sorry that we will not be able to make it to the service due to husbands work schedule, our prayers are with his family.
