Jean D. Larkins, age 91 of Lincoln, NE, passed away on January 8, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on January 11, 1932 to Carl and Dorothy (Scharton) Imig in Lincoln. She married the love of her life, Ernest F. Larkins, on September 4, 1951 and they were blessed with three children, Michael, Cheryl, and Steven.

Jean was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Lincoln and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Jean was known to love many things, including music and her Dotson dogs, but her greatest love of all was traveling with her husband, Ernest.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Michael (Carol) Larkins and Steven Larkins, both of Lincoln. She is survived by grandchildren Jamie (Adam) Wessel, Michelle Kvasnicka, Rebecca (TJ) Childress, Heather Larkins, Cody Larkins, and Sarah (Traygan) Mumford. Jean is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest, and her daughter Cheryl.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Wyuka Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00am at Wyuka Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln at 1:30pm following the funeral service and luncheon at Wyuka Funeral Home. Memorials can be directed to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children or to the family for future designations.
