Jeffery Michael Hunzeker, 35, of Lincoln, Nebraska died Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Butner, North Carolina after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born January 4, 1980, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Bruce and Ruth (Harmon) Hunzeker. Jeff graduated from East High School in 1998 and attended Southeast Community College, earning a degree in culinary arts in 2004.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Bruce and Ruth Hunzeker; brother, Scott Hunzeker and wife, Marsha; sister, Kate Singsaas and husband, Andy; grandparents, Gene and Ilah Harmon, all of Lincoln. Survivors also include four nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death are Jeff’s grandparents, Lorain and Lucile Hunzeker of Ceresco, Nebraska.
There will be a graveside service at 2:30, Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Wyuka Cemetery. A reception will follow at Heritage Presbyterian Church, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Dear Bruce, Ruth and family. We were all very sad to read about Jeff’s passing. We know how important family is and always has been to all of you and are thankful you had such loving support at such a difficult time.
We may not be able to be back in town in time for the reception. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be.

We were so sorry to hear about Jeff’s passing. He was in the East High marching band with both our girls, so we remember him from that. It’s hard to understand the death of one so young. Our sympathy and prayers are with you all. God Bless You.
