Katie McCollough age 73 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca. She was born on April 22, 1939 in Poland to Daniel and Wilhelmina (Neumann) Wirschke. She graduated from Lincoln High School and the Lincoln School of Commerce. Katie was a former resident of Tabitha Village and Malone Manor. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Katie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Jennifer McCollough of Lincoln; her grandson, Daniel McCollough of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Alfred in infancy.
Cremation, no visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue.
