Marlyn K. Salyer

August 25, 1939 – December 1, 2022

Marlyn Salyer, a young 83-year-old from Lincoln, NE passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.  Daughter of Ruth and George Dallas. Widow of William Salyer. Preceded in death by long time partner Bob Smith.  She retired from Harris Labs. Marlyn enjoyed working at Southeast High School for several years. She enjoyed traveling with her Grandchildren. Marlyn had an immense love of Elvis Presley and 1950’s rock and roll.  She enjoyed cutting a rug and enjoyed Barbie collectibles.

Survived by her daughter, Marla Salyer of Lincoln, NE; granddaughters, Miranda Mikesh, Jessey Mikesh Dominguez; grandson, Anthony Dominguez lll;  nieces, Lori Mueller, Holly Rekart; nephew, Mark Rekart, and her close cousin Becky Schenemann.  Proceeded in death by her parents, Ruth Bienemann and George Dallas; sister, Jeannie Hoefs; beloved sister Virginia Rekart, who passed away December 2, 2022.

Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Wyuka Funeral, Lincoln. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  2. I’m so sorry for your loss Marla K. I’ve known Marlyn for 50+ years. Always loved running into her at different stores and catching up on everything and everybody. We’d stand and talk forever. I’m really going to miss that. Marlyn was a wonderful person and so caring.
