Bro. Ivory accepted Christ at a young age, uniting with the Mt. Zion Baptist church along with his family.   Bro. Ivory had an undeniable and unquenchable faith in our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.   Bro Ivory displayed his faith daily in the word and deed, living a life in Christ that he spoke about.   He faithfully served in various ministries diligently working for the upbuilding of Gods kingdom.  He served as an usher, always greeting guests and fellow members of his church family with a smile.  As a leader and facilitator of the Joshua Club he sought to empower both young men and seasoned saints to study the word of God and provided guidance on how it could be applicable in their daily lives.  He led the daily prayer call that has been a consistent and viable vehicle for persons to remain connected to the Mt. Zion Baptist church to receive both strength and encouragement for such a time as this.  He provided transportation to persons to various activities at the church as a member of the transportation ministry. He was also head of the janitorial ministry.  Bro Ivory was a faithful deacon, always willing and able to do whatever was asked of him serving as an aide to both the pastor and the congregation.

Bro. Ivory was also a proud member of the Lebanon Lodge # 3 here in Lincoln, Ne.  As a member he served as the Worshipful Master serving for three years and earned his 32nd degree.  He became a Master Mason March 30th, 2013 and Worshipful Master in March of 2019.  He served 3 years Consistory as a Sublime Prince in March of 2019.

In his leisure time Bro. Ivory loved watching professional football and was a dire hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He loved to believe that he was a storm chaser always staying in tune with the local weather.  He loved spending time with his family going out to dinner and to the movies when time permitted.  He spent a great deal of time creating precious memories with his grandson Syairre whom he loved with all of his heart.
