Patricia A. Tomasek

Patricia A. Tomasek age 78 of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at her home with her family – she struggled many years with COPD.  She was born on September 18, 1932 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Seth and Clara Agnes (Spring) Beam.  She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. On October 29, 1950 she married her high school sweetheart Jerry Tomasek.  Pat’s greatest love was her family.  She loved watching her grandchildren swim in their family swimming pool.  Pat was a very generous woman; she loved to spoil her family especially on Christmas, her favorite holiday.  She loved Nebraska football and enjoyed traveling to Bowl games and away games.  Pat was a retired secretary/treasurer for Tomasek Homes.  She will be missed dearly by everyone.

Pat is survived by her husband, Jerry of Lincoln; daughters, Cheryl Piontek of Lincoln; Peggy (Bart) Cooper of Littleton, Colorado; son James (Teri) Tomasek of Lincoln; grandchildren, Katie Piontek and fiance Troy Rinke of Lincoln; Jessica, Jami and Andrew Tomasek of Lincoln; Nikki Carpenter and Mollie Cooper of Littleton, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Hailee Piontek of Lincoln; sister, Clara (Everett) Brauckmuller of Lincoln, former son-in-law, Arthur Piontek of Lincoln; special nieces, nephews and many special friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Albert and Carl Beam, her grandson, Adam Piontek.

Cremation/no visitation.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 84th and Pioneers. A luncheon will follow the memorial service.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery following the luncheon.

  1. Tomasek family we are holding you, your family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during your time of loss of Pat. Grief is hard but can sometimes be good when it puts people in touch with God’s goodness. “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves” Psalm 34:19

    Grief strikes “all of us” – not just at the “parts” of us. Grief strikes at our bodies, our minds, our spirits. It hits us from head to toe. It hits us heart and soul. It hits us inside and out.   3. Jerry : My condolences to you and your family regarding Pat . I’ve always wondered where and how you were . I’m sure you remember that we were neighbors and played a lot of kid football when we were kids .
