Paul Richardson, age 89, was born on Monday, August 3,1936, in Lincoln, Nebraska and died on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Bellevue, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Alice Holwuttle; parents, Earl and Irma Richardson; sister, Joyce Bargar; half-brother, Wesley “Tooker” Husband; his favorite aunt, Betty Root; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by first cousins, John Holbrook, Shirley O’Meara, Pat and Ed Short, Debbie O’Malley, Diana and Way Huey, and Don Holbrook. He is also survived by many second and third cousins, and his very good friend, Ron Jackson.
Paul was born and died in Nebraska. He was a lifelong Husker fan.
It’s hard to put in words Paul’s life in a few sentences.
He could be stubborn as heck and was always certain that he was right.
But Paul had another side to him as well. He had a group of friends from his high school days that he was loyal to to the end, and only one of them continues to live: Ron Jackson. A lot of his friends referred to Paul as “Brownie”.
And even though sometimes he didn’t show it, he deeply loved his family, and at times, was very caring.
He was extremely grateful to his cousin, John, who helped Paul in so many ways.
Even though Paul had many physical obstacles and pain in his last few years, he left this earth in a painless and peaceful manner.
May God rest his soul.
