Peter Michael Sinica Sr.

Peter Michael Sinica Sr. (Big Pete), 69, of Lincoln, NE passed away April 19,2023. He was born June 18, 1953, to Gregory and Maria Sinica.

Peter always stayed busy fixing things no matter what it was, riding his motorcycle, wood carving, he loved spending time with his family, and listening to music. He had a big heart and was always there for people and never expected anything in return. Peter was a man of many hats, he had a different hat for each day of the week.

He is survived by wife, Ann Sinica; children, Misty Johnson, Peter (Sandra) Sinica Jr., and Gregory (Misty) Sinica; grandchildren, Breanna, Anthony, and Jarred; and great-grandchild, Hayden.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Anatol; and granddaughter, Jaden.

Visitation: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Wyuka Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3600 “O” St, Lincoln, NE 68510.

Interment: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1PM at Fairview Cemetery, 8400 Adams St, Lincoln, NE 68507.

Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.

  1. So sorry for your loss. Have never met Peter SR but have known Peter JR for many years due to his being friends with my son Chad. My thoughts are with you. Please stay strong and take care. You also Peter.

  5. Sadden to hear the loss of Pete.Knowing Pete from our childhood I aways looked up to Pete as a role model. Our parents spent time together also.Our familys came from Ukraine together. He will be missed.

  6. Pete meant a lot to a lot of people. I didn’t know him well, but my boys grew up with Greg and truly respected Pete. My prayers go out to everyone that was somehow touched by Pete. He made a big impact on everyone. I know he will be greatly missed.

  7. My heart & prayers ; go out to you , his wife & the kids Maria . Peter & I met at Southeast Community College/ over 45 years ago , back when we both were trying to educate ourselves to better take of ourselves and our families. Peter was always real smart and a real go – getter / always willing to give a helping hand / no matter what. He will surely be missed by me / we will be friends to the end / always. Love You Bro / God Bless You & the Fam . !!!
