Phyllis J. Johnson

Phyllis J. Johnson age 70 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at her home in Lincoln.  She was born on October 26, 1942 in Stotts City, Missouri to Albert and Alice (DeWald) Worm.  She graduated from Hebron High School.  Phyllis worked at Great Western Bank for 25 years as a branch manager.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Ken of Lincoln; daughter, Terri and Dayle Mautz of Lincoln; sons, Tim Mittan of Lincoln; Andy and Lisa Mittan of Kissimmee, Florida; stepson, Kelly and Amy Johnson of Overland Park, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Alberta and Gerald Meyer of Bennett, Nebraska; Alice Helget of Lincoln; Donna and Melvern Naiman of Belvidere, Nebraska; Kathy and Jay Dorman of Hebron, Nebraska; brother, Roy and Diana Worm of Fairbury, Nebraska.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Leona Polage and brother, Leonard Worm.

Cremation, no public visitation.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Road with Pastor Eric Bostrom officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

  3. Just said HI to Phyllis what seems like a couple weeks ago. Always such a pleasant experience to go into the Clock Tower branch and do my banking. She was always helpful and will be missed. My sympathy goes out to her family.

  7. I was so sorry to hear of Phyllis’ passing. She and I went to school through our freshman year in Hebron. We were very good friends. I’m sure she’ll be missed by her family and many friends.

  8. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. I went to school with Phyllis in Hebron. She was a year ahead of me. She was a wonderful, fun person and I remember she had such a great laugh! I graduated with her sister Donna.

    Our hearts go out to you during such a tough time with the loss of your Mom. It’s been many years since I’ve seen her, but I can still see and hear her laugh at the goofy things we did as kids. She was always a lovely person and she’ll be missed very much.
