Rebecca Olivette Kanu

Kanu 3Rebecca Olivette Kanu, age 47 of Lincoln passed away September 10, 2014.  She was born May 5, 1967 in Freetown, Sierra Leone to Oshoba Carlton-Carew and Hawa Kamara.

Survivors include her husband, Umaru Kanu of Lincoln; Sons, Philemon and Samuel Kanu.  Sisters, Morenike Lake and Mafudia Dumbuya.  Brothers, Ola Bisi Carlton-Carew, Ladi Carlton-Carew, Samuel Carlton-Carew and Oshoba Carlton-Carew.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Praise Temple Church, Lincoln.  Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25th from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church on September 26th.

Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

  4. I think about you everyday, I miss you everyday. I still hear your strong voice,laughing with me, encouraging me, calling my name. I am so grateful for the time we shared together. You truly were a second mother to me. I love you and will miss you always. Go with God mum.
