Shirley L. Crisler

Shirley L. Crisler age 75 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at her home in Lincoln.  She was born on September 12, 1936 in Powhattan, Kansas to Glen and Gladys (Shields) Freeman. She married Robert Crisler on June 24, 1955 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  Shirley worked as an accountant for Duteau Chevrolet for 11 years, then she worked as an accountant for the State of Nebraska for 28 years.  She was a member of the Capital City Christian Church. 

Shirley is survived by her husband Robert of Lincoln; daughters and spouses, Debra and Les Doty of  Lincoln; Sandy and John Mikesh of  Lincoln; son, Brad Crisler and Karla Anderson of Raymond;  grandchildren, Elissa Lollman, Mike Perdew, Travis Perdew, Stephanie Flynn and Amanda Mikesh; great-grandchildren, Alex, Abby, Jaxon Lollman, Regan Perdew; brother, Glen and Joan Freeman of Table Rock; sisters, Mary and Ellis Dovel of Pawnee City; Verna Kalina of Pawnee City; Bessie and Richard Gilmore of Kiron, Iowa; Ruthie Day of Arlington, Texas; sister-in-law, Bonnie Freeman of Carter Lake, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Glen Freeman; mother, Gladys Harris; step-father, Lester Harris; brother, Robert Freeman;  sister, Phyllis Freeman; brother-in-laws, Larry Day, Leland Parks and Arnold Kalina.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Thornton officiating.

Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
