Jack McCormick
July 18, 1945 – June 20, 2026
Jack McCormick passed away on June 20th in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 80. He was born on July 18, 1945, in Lincoln to Don and Nadine McCormick.
Jack was a dedicated member of the community, a proud member of WSI, a regular at Virginia’s Cafe, a fisherman, friend, father, and grandfather. He was known for his strong work ethic, funny spirit, and unwavering grit.
Jack is survived by his children, Don and Kim. He was a beloved grandfather to Matt, Kyle, Emma, and Allison, and a proud great-grandfather to Leah and Indie.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Linda McCormick; his parents, Don and Nadine McCormick; and his stepfather, Nick Vaggalis.
Jack’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th, at the WSI Hall (1430 N 10th St. Lincoln, NE). Memorials may be given to the family for designation at a later date.
