Mary Lohse

November 5, 1951 – June 2, 2026

Mary Lohse, born on November 5, 1951, entered eternal rest on June 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace.

Born in Denver, Colorado, Mary was the cherished daughter of Richard and Helen Lohse. She grew up alongside her brothers, Jim and Bob Lohse, forming lifelong bonds filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories.

Mary’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was the loving mother of Lori Unks and Nichole Jasper, who were the pride of her life. She was also a loving grandmother to Alex Unks, Noah Unks, Kaiden Unks, Lyncoln Unks and Gabriel Jasper. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Mary had a warm, welcoming spirit that made everyone feel at home. She never met a stranger and was a true friend to all who knew her. She found great joy in horses, admired their beauty and strength. She also embraced the peace and balance she discovered through the practice of yoga. Her gentle heart, quiet strength, and compassionate nature touched countless lives.

Mary will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her generous spirit, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori Unks (Kevin) and Nichole Jasper (Robert); her brothers, Jim and Bob Lohse; her beloved grandchildren, Alex Unks, Noah Unks, Kaiden Unks, Lyncoln Unks, and Gabriel Jasper; extended family members; and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Mary’s beautiful soul now rests in peace.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 “O” Street, Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations be made to HETRA, an equine therapy academy loved by Mary. DONATE HERE She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” Revelation 21:4
