Robert M. Taylor

Robert Max Taylor age 91 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Monday, January 23, 2012 at his home.  He was born on March 7, 1920 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Max William and Rebecca Catherine (Jenkins) Taylor.  He served in the US Army from 1941 to 1945 in the European Theatre.  He married Lorraine Bishop on December 25, 1945 in Lincoln.  Robert was a self employed oil jobber.  He delivered fuel and oil to area farmers and businesses.  He enjoyed camping and sailing with his family. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Lincoln; sons and spouses, John and Lisi Taylor of Beaumont, Texas; Douglas and Linda Taylor of Tigard, Oregon; daughters and spouses, Sarah Taylor of Lincoln; Susan and Steven Olds of Chewelah, Washington; Deborah and Thomas Swanson of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard and Donald; sisters, DeLoris Barrett and Dorothy Mae Taylor in infancy. 

Cremation/no visitation.

A private family graveside service will be held at Wyuka Cemetery.

Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

  1. I am sorry to see of Bob’s passing. As one of Taylor Investment’s longest tenants (40 years), We always enjoyed Bob’s friendly manner and visiting with him in our store.
