In Loving Memory of Susan Frye

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Frye on October 17th, 2023, surrounded by love and cherished memories. A pillar of strength, unwavering faith, and abundant love, Susan’s legacy is marked not just by her familial bonds but also by the imprints she left on the hearts of all who knew her.

Born one of nine siblings, Susan’s early years were filled with the hustle and bustle of a large family. These roots gifted her with an innate ability to care for, understand, and connect deeply with others. Her parents, who survive her today, instilled in her values of love, faith, and resilience, which she carried forward in her own journey of motherhood.

Motherhood was Susan’s crowning glory. As the proud mother to three beautiful children and four equally cherished stepchildren, Susan embraced every moment, challenge, and joy that came with raising her kids. She wore many hats—caregiver, counselor, cook, confidante—and she fondly referred to herself as a “domestic engineer”. Her role wasn’t defined by tasks or titles, but by the unconditional love she poured into her home and family every day.

Susan’s faith was the bedrock of her existence. Her relationship with God was profound and personal, guiding her through life’s highs and lows; true to her nature, she infused humor into her spirituality, always finding the light-hearted moments in any situation. Her laughter was infectious; her spirit undeniably bright.

Her many grandkids, who lovingly called her “Nana”, will forever remember her playful antics, her stories, and her warmth. They, along with the many others whose lives she touched, can take solace in knowing that she now watches over them as their guardian angel.

Though she may no longer be with us in the physical realm, Susan’s love and teachings remain. We hold onto the cherished memories, the lessons, and the laughter. As we say our goodbyes, we celebrate her life, her love, and the profound impact she’s had on all our lives.
