Susan Lee (Lawson) Bradford was born on June 2, 1946, in Lincoln Nebraska to Eugene Lawson and Jeannette (Eberline) Lawson. She passed away after a brief illness on March 13, 2024.
Susan was the second of six children, and except for a short time, lived her whole life in Lincoln, NE. She worked for many years for Pepsi-Co, which is where she met her husband, Gerald D. Bradford. They married on February 16, 2004, in Deadwood, SD, and would return to Deadwood to celebrate their anniversary for many years to follow. They enjoyed traveling including trips to Arizona for baseball Spring Training. Sue was a loving wife and companion to Jerry, and in the later years of his life, she was his devoted caregiver as well.
Sue and Jerry loved spending time with family as well as their good friends at the Denton Legion Hall. Sue had a good heart and a great sense of humor. She will be missed by us all.
Susan is survived by her sister Janet Alderin, brother Tom Lawson (Kate), and sisters-in-law Carol Lawson and Patty Jo Lawson. She is also survived by Jerry’s children Penny, Jerry Lee, John, Patty, Mike and Jennifer. Her husband Jerry preceded her in death by less than a month. Susan was also preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Donald Lawson, brother Gerald Lawson, and sister Nancy King.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Susan’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Wyuka Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for further designation.
Penny, I am so very sorry to hear of Susan’s death , and so suddenly after your Fathers passing. . I am sending you the most heartfelt sympathies and praying for your entire family! May she and Jerry rest in eternal peace.
